‘Pathaan’ amassed a domestic collection of ₹524 Cr nett (Hindi) and ₹545 Cr nett (across all languages) and a fantastic ₹1,055 Cr global collection. ‘Jawan’ had a remarkable ₹643 Cr nett collection across all languages in India while ‘Dunki’ collected ₹410 crore worldwide within its first 13 days of release and is expected to cross ₹460-crore mark by the end of its theatrical run. Being the first megastar to have his three films collectively cross the domestic ₹500 crore mark and worldwide ₹1,000 crore in a single year, it is safe to say that 2023 was truly Shah Rukh Khan‘s year.

Shah Rukh Khan and Tapsee Pannu starrer ‘Dunki’ released in theaters on December 21, 2023. ‘Dunki‘ released on a non-holiday Thursday just a day before Prabhas’ ‘Salaar’. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film opened up with a good start at the Indian box office and earned ₹30 crores on its first day. Shah Rukh Khan’s other two films that were released this year, ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’, minted ₹57 crore and about ₹89.5 crore on their first day, respectively.
