Imran Khan has been missing from the silver screen for quite some time now, but the love of the audience for this talented actor has only grown over the years. I still have fond memories of watching Imran Khan in ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na’, exuding his charming screen presence. In a recent interview, the Bollywood actor opened up about his past decision to quit his acting career and his mental health struggles. Here’s what Imran Khan had to say:

In conversation with Vogue India, Imran Khan opened up about leaving Bollywood in 2015 after his last film ‘Katti Batti’ and his mental health analysis. “I simply couldn’t be bothered to invest the time, energy and effort required to stay in this profession. I couldn’t bring myself to go to parties and socialise with people in the hope that someone would offer me a film,” Imran Khan shared. “I felt damaged on the inside and I wanted to fix that. If you pull a hamstring, you go to the physiotherapist. You don’t feel good mentally? Seek therapy,” he added. “If you speak to someone who has given up an addiction or gone off alcohol, they could tell you the exact number of days they’ve been sober. It’s the same for me with my mental health,” says Imran, revealing the number of days since he started his analysis on March 13, 2017.

I hope Imran Khan is in a happy space, no matter whichever profession he is in. I would love to see his comeback on the silver screen; however, there is no pressure, as I want him to prioritize his mental health and then only make his diehard fans happy with his new projects.
