I’m super excited for ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ as it marks the return of the OG ‘Manjulika’ Vidya Balan to the horror comedy franchise. I still can’t get over her phenomenal and iconic ‘Mere Dholna’ dance performance from the first part of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’. In conversation with Pinkvilla, Vidya Balan, who is currently promoting her upcoming film ‘Do Aur Do Pyaar’, spoke about her love for comedy films. “As an actor, I think I’ve not had the opportunity to do comedy, and I am yearning to do a comedy,” Vidya Balan shared. She opened up about how, as an audience member, comedy is her favorite genre too. When asked about working in this genre in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, she quipped, “It’s great.” Her ‘Do Aur Do Pyaar’ co-star Pratik Gandhi also goes on to make the remark, “Manjulika is back.”

Well, comedy is one of my favorite genres too, and I’m looking forward to seeing Vidya Balan in comic roles. Her ability to fit into versatile characters and nail each and every role so perfectly is a proof of her superb acting prowess. I’m eagerly waiting to watch her as ‘Manjulika’ in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ alongside Kartik Aaryan. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the horror comedy film is set for a Diwali release this year!
