In the film, she plays a sex worker, and her compelling performance has garnered widespread acclaim. During her acceptance speech, Anasuya dedicated the award to the queer and marginalized communities, highlighting their ongoing fight for equal rights. Born in Bengal and educated at Jadavpur University, Anasuya initially pursued journalism before turning to acting with a supporting role in ‘Madly Bengali’ (2009).
