And the most important thing about him is that he leads with compassion. He understands the layers it takes to build a performance and allows the actor to take ownership at every stage.

I’d never done anything like that before. I wanted to do it because when you’re hungry and already underweight, you are tremendously vulnerable. You consider every movement with economy.
