Popular actor and politician Ravi Kishan, who is basking in praise for his powerful performance in Laapataa Ladies, recently appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show to promote his upcoming film, Son of Sardaar 2, alongside his co-stars Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur.
During their conversation, host Kapil Sharma lightheartedly brought up a surprising rumor he had heard about Ravi Kishan. The rumor said that the actor touches his wife’s feet every night before going to bed. It took everyone by surprise, and the cameras quickly panned to Ravi Kishan, awaiting his response.

To this, Ravi smiled warmly and confirmed the story. “She was my companion when I didn’t have money or anything else. Since then, she hasn’t left me. Today, whatever I am, the poor thing has been with me… The way she managed me, I should touch her feet; she’s worthy of that,” he said.
Reacting to this, Archana Puran Singh said, “It’s a great thing. What is the problem?” and his co-star, Mrunal, was praising him with, “Aww.”
The show host Kapil responded by saying, “How sweet.”
However, Ajay Devgn pulled Ravi Kishan’s leg by stating, “The guiltier a person is, the more he will touch his wife’s feet.”
Talking about Ravi Kishan’s fans, after learning this, they have since taken to social media, calling Ravi a “real-life hero” and praising his views on mutual respect in marriage.
Ravi Kishan has been married to Preeti Kishan since 1993, and together they’ve built a strong, grounded family. While she keeps a low profile, Preeti has been Ravi’s steady support through thick and thin, from his early film days to his rise in politics.
Together, they have four children, three daughters and a son. His eldest daughter, Riva Kishan, is an actress; another daughter, Ishita, joined the Indian Army through the Agnipath scheme. The third daughter, Tanishqa, is exploring business interests, while his son, Saksham, is currently focused on his education and stays away from the limelight.
Professionally, Ravi Kishan made his acting debut in the Hindi film Pitambar in 1992, where he appeared alongside veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty. This was his very first on-screen role, marking the beginning of a long and diverse career in Indian cinema.
He is soon going to appear in the sequel to Son of Sardaar 2. Apparently, the actor replaced Sanjay Dutt in this film due to the actor’s visa issues. The film is slated for a theatrical release in August and is directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, N.R. Pachisia, and Pravin Talreja. The movie also features Sanjay Mishra and the late Mukul Dev in key roles.
