Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar Shoot in Ladakh Hit by Food Poisoning; 120 Crew Members Hospitalized: Report

Ranveer Singh, who was last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani two years ago, is currently shooting for his upcoming film Dhurandhar. While fans have been eagerly waiting for its release, troubling news has emerged from the film’s set in Ladakh. According to ANI, around 120 crew members were hospitalized after a mass food poisoning incident on Sunday, August 17.

120 Crew Members Taken To Hospital

The medical superintendent of SNM Hospital in Leh confirmed the situation, saying, “Our doctors were called in for the emergency as the patient rush was very high. By the end of the day, we had about 120 admissions. The situation was handled well, and all of them have been treated.” The official further assured that there were no casualties.

He explained that the symptoms varied among those affected: “Some came with severe dehydration, while others had pain in the abdomen, vomiting, acute gastroenteritis, and headache. We received much help from the district administration, and we managed to transfer a few patients to handle the treatment and for crowd management.”

Family Members Speak Out

A family member of one of the affected crew members told ANI that his sister, along with his brother’s children and sister-in-law, was present in Leh when the incident occurred. “We received a lot of help at the hospital, and the doctors and nurses supported us throughout. There were more than 100 people over here,” he said.

Dhurandhar Makers Yet to Respond

Although the situation is now under control, the production team of Dhurandhar is yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar boasts a star-studded cast including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, alongside Ranveer Singh in the lead. The film is presented by Jio Studios and produced under B62 Studios. It is scheduled to hit theaters on December 5 this year, where it will face a major box-office clash with the Prabhas starrer The Raja Saab and Vishal Bhardwaj’s next with Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri.
