Sab TV’s long-running sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been ruling television screens since its premiere in 2008. But in recent years, the show has often been in the news for the abrupt exit of several popular actors. Now, speculations were rife once again when fans noticed the absence of Ambika Ranjankar, who plays Komal Hathi.
Ambika Ranjankar Breaks Silence

Clarifying the rumors, Ambika told TellyChakkar, “No, I haven’t quit the show. I am very much a part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.” She added, “For some personal reasons, I was away. I needed some time for myself.”
Disha Vakani’s Return Speculations

Alongside Ambika’s absence, the show also grabbed headlines when fans speculated about the return of Disha Vakani, aka Dayaben. The buzz started after producer Asit Kumarr Modi shared a Rakshabandhan video where Disha was seen tying a rakhi to him. However, there has been no official confirmation about her comeback to the show.
New Faces in TMKOC

Meanwhile, the makers have introduced four new members to the cast. In recent episodes, Dharti Bhatt, Kuldeep Gor, Akshaan Sehrawat, and Maahi Bhadra entered Gokuldham Society as Rupa Baditop, Ratan Binjola, Veer, and Bansar. Their entry was showcased in a traditional manner, arriving on decorated camels and dressed in vibrant Rajasthani attire.

Reports also suggest that Dipti Kashyap is set to replace Ramsha Farooqi as Rita Reporter, a role originally played by Priya Ahuja Rajda.
It’s worth noting that in the past four years, six major actors have bid goodbye to the show. This includes Shailesh Lodha, who confirmed his exit was due to a fallout with producer Asit Kumarr Modi. More recently, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who played Mrs. Roshan Singh Sodhi, accused the makers of mental and sexual harassment before quitting the show, which sparked a major controversy.
