For years, there has been immense curiosity around Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Ba**ds of Bollywood. On August 20, the much-anticipated first glimpse of the Netflix series was finally unveiled at a preview event in Mumbai. Among the attendees was Shah Rukh Khan himself, who turned up in style despite nursing a broken arm.

Always known for his charm and wit, Shah Rukh didn’t wait for the inevitable questions about his injury. Addressing the crowd, he said, “Before you people ask, I myself will tell what happened to my hand. I got hurt and had a small surgery—it was not small actually; it was a little major surgery. It will take me a month or two to recover. But one hand is enough for me to lift the National Award.”

National Award Win for Jawan

Earlier this month, at the 71st National Film Awards, Shah Rukh Khan was announced as the winner of the Best Actor award for his performance in Jawan. He will be sharing the honor with Vikrant Massey, who won for his widely acclaimed role in 12th Fail.

Soon after the announcement, Shah Rukh expressed his gratitude on social media: “Thank you for honoring me with the National Award. Thanks to the jury, the I&B ministry… Iss samman ke liye Bharat Sarkar ka dhanyawaad. Overwhelmed with the love showered upon me. Half a hug to everyone today.”

The news drew congratulations from colleagues and admirers across industries, including Allu Arjun, Jawan director Atlee, Shashi Tharoor, and Karan Johar.

Aryan Khan’s Directorial Debut

While Shah Rukh’s presence drew attention, the spotlight was firmly on Aryan Khan’s upcoming series. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., The Ba**ds of Bollywood is set to stream on Netflix from September 18.
