The divorce of choreographer-influencer Dhanashree Verma and cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal has once again become a talking point on social media. This comes after Dhanashree’s candid interview with Humans of Bombay, where she took a subtle dig at Chahal’s much-talked-about “Be Your Own Sugar Daddy” T-shirt stunt.
Dhanashree Recalls Emotional Courtroom Moment

Opening up about the divorce, Dhanashree revealed how overwhelming the experience was.
“I still remember when I was standing there and the verdict was about to be given. Even though we were so well-prepared mentally, I got so emotional. I started howling in front of everybody,” she said. “I couldn’t even express what I was feeling at that point. I just remember that I kept crying; I was just howling and crying. Of course, all of that happened, and he (Chahal) walked out first.”
On Being Blamed and Chahal’s T-Shirt Gesture

Dhanashree also reflected on how public perception added to her struggles. “You know that people are going to blame you. Before I had even known that this T-shirt stunt had happened, we were all aware that people were going to blame me for this,” she said. With a mix of irritation and humor, she added, “Are bhai, WhatsApp kar deta. T-shirt kyu pehna hai? (You could have sent it on WhatsApp. Why wear the T-shirt?”
Chahal’s Cryptic Post Fuels Speculation
Not long after the interview, Chahal shared a cryptic post on social media, which many believe was a subtle response. His post featured glimpses from his visit to Kirkstone Pass in the Lake District, captioned: “Million feelings, zero words.”
Fans were quick to connect the dots. Many dropped cheeky comments like “WhatsApp kar deta bhai,” directly echoing Dhanashree’s remarks. Others filled the comments section with gifs of RJ Mahvash, who is rumored to be dating the cricketer.
