Coastal Road Gardens: A Green Lung for the City
In an emotional reveal, Mrs. Ambani shared her vision for a greener, more balanced Mumbai.
“Especially for all my fellow Mumbaikars, I want to share something very close to our hearts,” she began. “Reliance is proud and honored to take up the responsibility of developing and caring for the new Coastal Road Gardens, a green lung for generations to come.”
Spread across 130 acres, the Coastal Road Gardens and adjoining promenade will be more than just another patch of green in an urban jungle. This space will breathe. It will bloom. And it will belong to every Mumbaikar.
A Ribbon of Green Along the Coast
Envision a ribbon of green embracing the coastline, where barefoot children play on the grass, elders take serene morning strolls, and families assemble to witness sunsets fall into the Arabian Sea. Envision flowering trees, local flora, pedestrian trails, and serene areas that encourage contemplation as well as social interaction.
“This is a deeply personal project for me,” Mrs. Ambani shared. “It’s about giving back to the city that has given so much to all of us. And it’s a duty we vow to do with pride and purpose.

In addition to nature, Reliance Foundation is also investing in the future of medicine. In the center of Mumbai, a 2,000-bed medical city is being constructed. Far from a typical hospital, this complex will utilize AI-based diagnostics and cutting-edge medical technology, breaking new ground in patient care.
“This won’t be just another hospital,” Mrs. Ambani said. “It will be a place where innovation meets compassion, where science and service come together to heal and to lead.”
