The highly anticipated wedding events of Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and her fiancé, Palash Muchhal, have, in an unbelievable manner, been halted not once but twice consecutively due to unfortunate medical situations in the family. Following the incident of Smriti Mandhana’s father being rushed to the hospital due to chest pain, Palash Muchhal was also compelled to be admitted to the hospital as his condition deteriorated rapidly.
Smriti Mandhana’s Fiance, Palash Muchhal, Taken To Hospital
As per the NDTV report, Palash fell ill with a viral infection that aggravated an already bad situation with severe acidity. To be on the safe side, he was brought into a private hospital for treatment. After being under observation for a while, the medical team discharged him once they confirmed his health had stabilized. He is now back at the hotel, where he is recuperating.
The evolution of events has put a lot of stress on both clans, who were expecting only joyful moments during the wedding celebrations.
Smriti Mandhana’s Father Remains Under Observation
During one of the wedding festivities, the father of the bride, Smriti Mandhana, suffered chest pain in an instant and was instantly helped by relatives who called for medical assistance. He was rushed to a medical center, where, after an initial round of tests, changes were noticed that warranted further observations and treatment.
Family doctor Naman Shah gave the latest information regarding Smriti’s father by comparing the symptoms to angina and stressing the need for immediate intervention. He stated that the medical professionals are trying to control the patient’s blood pressure and are keeping an eye on his cardiac markers. In his words, if the condition should deteriorate, then more tests, like an angiograph, might be required, but currently, the situation is calm, and the progress is being closely checked. He also mentioned that Smriti and her family members keep in touch with the doctors frequently.
Wedding Postponed Until Further Notice
The families decided to take a break from the wedding ceremonies after experiencing two medical emergencies within a day. A new date for the wedding has yet to be determined, and it will be only after the two men have completely recovered that the events will go on.
Videos from earlier ceremonies, featuring the couple’s Haldi, Mehendi, Sangeet, and a friendly cricket match between the bride’s and groom’s teams, had gone viral online. However, festivities are now on hold as the families focus on recovery and medical care.
