Bollywood​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ stars gathered in Mumbai on Thursday to say their final goodbyes to the legendary Dharmendra, who died at the age of 89. The last rites took place at the Pawan Hans Crematorium in Vile Parle. The area was filled with family members, friends, and fans who had come to pay tribute to the icon. In many pap videos, it was noticed that Sunny Deol, who was performing the last rite, seemed visibly very emotional.

The eldest son of Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, conducted the last rites. He seemed very emotional when he was doing the rituals, and many photographers and videographers who were covering the event also noticed that. Esha Deol also arrived at the venue and rushed to say goodbye to her father one last time. Esha had earlier arrived at the house in the early hours of the day, and without giving any statement to the media, she walked in with the rest of the family.

Celebs Pay Respects To Dharmendra

One of the first people to come to the crematorium after the funeral had started was Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan; they appeared at the venue shortly after. Both these legends shared a long association with their relationship extending beyond work and turning into a long-lasting friendship. Salman Khan, who is currently busy with Bigg Boss 19 and the shoot for Battle of Galwan, also visited the crematorium to pay his respects. Salman and Dharmendra shared a very special bond. For Salman, the veteran actor was always like a parent who loved and cared for him. More celebrities like Sanjay Dutt, Ranveer Singh, along with Deepika Padukone were seen arriving at the venue.

More Details On Dharmendra

Dharmendra was recently discharged from Breach Candy Hospital after he had undergone treatment for his breathing problems. Though he was recuperating at home, according to reports, his condition took a turn for the worse on Thursday morning, and hence an ambulance was rushed to the house.

Previously, the family had cleared the rumours around Dharmendra’s health when fake news about his death was spreading rapidly on the internet. Sunny and Esha Deol, at that moment, both made public announcements asking people not to share any news unless it was confirmed by them or the authorities.

Through the years, Dharmendra is the one who is going to be remembered for his various roles in numerous films. He was known as a very capable actor, and he gave great performances in timeless movies like Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Dharam Veer, Dream Girl and Mera Gaon Mera Desh.
