Celina Jaitly Files Domestic Violence Case Against Husband Peter Haag
Lawyer Niharika Karanjawala, speaking to Mid-Day, said that Celina deserted her matrimonial home without any money and miserably returned to India. In her words, Jaitly could not take the children with her right away, as she was afraid that her husband would accuse her of kidnapping, and hence she might lose the custody battle. The lawyer, in her affidavit, compared the departure of the actress to a situation like escaping and said that the artist left most, if not all, things behind.
The lawyer further claimed that Celina’s career was also hampered due to her husband’s imposition of certain restrictions on her. She said the artist was demotivated and was not allowed to take up any film projects even during the height of her career. On that basis, the court application covers the request for monetary support representing the earnings that the actress thinks she has let go of.
According to the numerous reports, Celina wants to be granted fifty crores as compensation and ten lakh rupees per month as long-term maintenance through the court. The day following the filing of the petition, the actress took to the internet to make a short announcement wherein she termed her legal fight as the hardest phase of her life and reminisced about the time when she felt lonely after losing out on the support of the most important people in her life. In the post, she conveyed the feeling that she never thought she would have to deal with being left all alone and made a reference to her disrupted personal and emotional balance.
