Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal have been the topic of a huge public discussion since the news of their wedding being postponed on November 23 broke out. The event that was supposed to be held in Sangli was canceled as Smriti’s father was taken to the hospital after his health suddenly deteriorated. What was initially a family emergency quickly became an online frenzy of rumors, as numerous social media accounts started spreading unverified accusations about Palash and implying a rift between the couple. However, it is now being reported that Palash Muchhal visited Premanand Maharaj.

According to recent reports, Palash quietly went to Vrindavan to get blessings from a spiritual leader, Premanand Maharaj. A picture from the meeting where the music director can be seen sitting with folded hands in the front row and wearing a white shirt and a black blazer rapidly traveled across platforms.
It was the second time since the postponement that he was seen publicly, apart from the brief appearance at the Mumbai airport a few days earlier.
On top of the already heated rumor mill, the latest rumors suggest that the wedding is set for December 7. Smriti Mandhana’s brother, Shravan, however, denied the rumour. Talking to Hindustan Times, he said that the family had not worked out any new date and stressed that the event was still on hold. He said he was shocked by the fake updates and that he did not know how these claims had started.
These rumors became more aggressive after Smriti wiped out her wedding-related posts from social media, and some of her Indian teammates followed suit. The people who were choreographing the wedding activities and the air around them got thick with the gossip as the story escalated.
Palash was also briefly admitted to a hospital in Sangli before going back to Mumbai. His mother later revealed that he got sick after he saw Smriti’s father’s condition, as they had a close bond. She also said that it was Palash who put forward the idea of canceling the ceremony when he understood the seriousness of the situation.
Currently, both families are maintaining silence amid the speculation and concentrating solely on the health of Smriti’s father.
