Bhojpuri actor-singer and Member of Parliament Pawan Singh has experienced a rise in security concerns after receiving a series of threatening phone calls. The callers, who were alleged to be members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, made the threats. The calls that the accused used in different numbers from both the Bihar and Mumbai areas for the operations. They demanded money and warned him about his public appearance with Bollywood star Salman Khan during Bigg Boss 19 finale.

On the weekend, things got out of hand quickly, so Pawan Singh went to the Mumbai Police twice to file a complaint. As per the details given by the IANS, he lodged two separate complaints reporting the extortion attempts and the threats given by the callers. Now, both of his complaints have been handed over to the Anti-Extortion Unit of the Mumbai Crime Branch, which has already started its probe.
The police have already started their inspection of the case by searching through call records and the location of the mobile numbers used in the incident. Preliminary info points that the threats could have been coordinated, as some of the people who worked for Pawan and were in contact with him also got similar messages. The warning that he should not be sharing the stage with Salman Khan was the most prominent one. It further warned that if he continued to associate with the actor at public events, then there would be some dire consequences, though they didn’t specify what.
After the inquiry was opened, Pawan Singh and his crew were at the Crime Branch to give more information, along with audio recordings, screenshots, and any communication that may help in finding the culprits. Besides, police informants have implied that the matter is being handled with the greatest urgency, as the gang has been involved in threat cases against the powerful in the past.
