Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, and Akshaye Khanna starrer ‘Dhurandhar‘ is proving to be just like its name at the box office, strong, fast, and powerful! As soon as the film was released, theatres were thronged with audiences, and its performance in the first four days exceeded expectations.

According to Sacnilk.com, ‘Dhurandhar’ earned 126.25 crore net at the Indian box office in its first weekend of release. The film opened with a solid 28 crore on Friday. The momentum picked up on Saturday, reaching 32 crore. On Sunday, the film demonstrated its true box-office power earning a full 43 crore, its biggest jump to date. Collections saw a slight drop on Monday, with the film earning 23.25 crore, bringing its four-day total to 126.25 crore. This figure is considered good for a new release.

The film’s total gross in India has reached 151 crore, while its worldwide collection has reached 193 crore, of which 42 crore came from overseas. Judging by the strong response in the initial days, it’s clear that audiences have embraced Dhurandhar, and the film is now considered a hit.

The story, inspired by real-life RAW missions and Operation Lyari, managed to capture audiences’ attention from day one. The film’s ensemble cast and simple yet effective screenplay have successfully drawn audiences to theatres.

Over a year of shooting, locations spanning from Thailand to Ladakh, and a lengthy runtime of 214 minutes, all combine to make it grand-scale cinematic experience.

Interestingly, Akshaye Khanna’s character, Rehman the dacoit, has become a sensation on the internet. Social media was enamoured with his performance in “Chhaava,” and now he’s once again winning hearts in “Dhurandhar.”

Interestingly, Akshaye Khanna isn’t even on social media, yet memes, videos, and clips of his character are going viral across platforms. Fans wonder if he’s even getting the attention!

No other major film was released alongside “Dhurandhar,” which directly benefited it at the box office. The audience had only one big choiceand they supported it wholeheartedly.

This impressive start to the first instalment is now raising high expectations for the second instalment ‘Dhurandhar Part 2,’ which will release on March 19, 2026.
