Bigg Boss 19 winner Gaurav Khanna has been one of the most popular contestants of the show by far, owing to his peaceful nature and consistent gameplay, for which he got a lot of praise. While his win was celebrated by fans all over the country, his family’s emotions were also in a state of upheaval, especially after they had seen some of the fights that had taken place in the house.
Gaurav Khanna’s Father On Farrhana Bhatt
Gaurav’s father, in a recent talk with IANS, opened up that watching his son manage the highly charged and unfriendly situation in the Salman Khan-hosted reality show was quite an experience. He even went on to say that although he was sure Gaurav could take care of himself, some instances made him very sad.
He shared that it was stated and witnessed that the likes of Zeishan Quadri and Abhishek Bajaj not only verbally but also physically provoked Gaurav, and thus, there were times when Gaurav had no option but to argue back.
His father narrated that he could not stand seeing the way Farrhana Bhatt ridiculed Gaurav, doubted his honesty, and made fun of his career as a TV actor. He thought that the lines were crossed by the remarks, and they were meant to degrade Gaurav rather than to serve as a friendly competition. Thinking back to that moment, he admitted to losing control of his emotions.
He saw his son getting angry (on the spot), and this made his heart even heavier, as it was one of the rare occasions he had witnessed. Furthermore, he said that if it were him instead of Gaurav, and he were in the room during the altercation, he would have hit her, as he would not have been able to hold his anger back.
In the end, however, Gaurav’s father expressed that his son made him feel proud through the show. And, at first, he was not at ease watching his son in such an environment where there is always a quarrel and confrontation; he doubted the reason that made Gaurav take part in the show. Nevertheless, over time, he understood that Gaurav was in the game with patience and calm.
On December 7, Gaurav Khanna won the Bigg Boss 19 trophy, beating finalists Farrhana Bhatt, Pranit More, Tanya Mittal, and Amaal Mallik.
