After the big success of Pushpa 2: The Rule, Allu Arjun is currently at the peak of his career. His popularity has drastically increased not only in India but also internationally. His upcoming film, currently referred to as AA22xA6, has already generated widespread buzz even before its release.
The film AA22xA6, being directed by Atlee and written by Praveen Varma, is described as a time-travel-based sci-fi film based on a father-son relationship. While the release date hasn’t been announced yet, but reported that Part 1 will be released in 2026 the anticipation surrounding it continues to grow.
According to a report by Telugu360, Netflix has acquired the digital rights to AA22xA6 for 600 crore. If this figure is officially confirmed, it would be the biggest OTT deal ever for an Indian film. Recently, Ranveer Singh Dhurandhar has been sold for 285 crores and Pushpa 2 for 275 crores.
Currently, AA22xA6 is still in the shooting phase, and before the release, the makers have already made a good deal.
According to the reports, the budget of AA22xA6 is said to be around 800 to 1000 crores. The film’s VFX is the main focus, hence the makers are spending a huge part of the budget on it. This Netflix deal has already covered about 75% of the film’s cost, which has already reduced the risk for the producer.
There are also reports that Allu Arjun will be seen in a double role in the film, further increasing fan excitement. It is also rumoured that Allu Arjun is receiving his highest-ever fee for this project.
Regarding the cast, Deepika Padukone is expected to share screen space with Allu Arjun for the first time in this film. Mrunal Thakur is also part of the cast, and there are ongoing discussions about Janhvi Kapoor playing an important role.
Initially, there were discussions about releasing the film in two parts, but according to the latest information, it will be released as a single film. Although the release date hasn’t been finalised yet, expectations for AA22xA6 are already very high due to its star power, big budget, and record-breaking OTT deal.
