People are talking as much about the soundtrack of Aditya Dhar‘s Dhurandhar as they are about the movie itself. The title track and Fa9la are two of the most popular songs from the soundtrack, but other songs are also doing well on the charts. One such song is the dance number Shararat, which features Ayesha Khan and Krystle DSouza. The choreographer of Shararat reveals that it was Tamannaah Bhatia who was the original idea for the dance number; however, director Aditya Dhar decided against her.

Tamannaah Bhatia First Choice For Shararat

Shararat features a segment from the film where a wedding is being celebrated, and we see two dancers, Ayesha and Krystle, dancing for the guests at the grand Karachi wedding. Speaking to Filmygyan, the choreographer of the song, Vijay Ganguly, said that he would have chosen Tamannaah Bhatia. “She was the one in my mind. I had proposed her, but Aditya was very decisive that he did not want what people call an item song, something that is completely out of the story. If the focus was just on one girl, it would have diverted the attention from the story, he said.

In the end, Vijay was convinced by Aditya to have two dancers, not one, in the song, and that’s how Ayesha and Krystle came to be. “Aditya didn’t want the focus to be on just one person. If it had been Tamannaah, then the focus would have been on her and not the story, “Vijay quoted him. He also said, “What was happening in the film, there was a lot going on, and if you move away from the story, then the song is just a random one, ” explained Vijay.
