Family Man Season 3 Review: Engaging, Entertaining but Lacks Spark

The Family Man returns with Season 3 – and while it brings its share of thrills and familiar charm, it doesn’t quite recapture the magic of its earlier seasons.

Manoj Bajpayee, as always, is the glue holding everything together. His effortless blend of dry humour, tired-parent energy, and raw vulnerability keeps you hooked even when the plot begins to drift. And that’s the catch: the story does drift. The larger geopolitical arc is ambitious but not always cohesive, and a few subplots feel more decorative than meaningful. Some episodes stretch out longer than needed, others feel overloaded, and the emotional beats, once the show’s strongest weapon, don’t land with the same impact.

But there are wins. The action remains slick, the “ordinary family in extraordinary chaos” flavour is intact, and the supporting cast shows up strong, even if the writing doesn’t give everyone equal room.

Overall, Season 3 is good, not great. Watchable but not wow. Fans will enjoy it, but newcomers might not be fully convinced. If you’re expecting the tight storytelling of Seasons 1 and 2, you may feel slightly underwhelmed, but if you’re here for Srikant Tiwari and his universe, there’s still plenty to enjoy.
