Fans’ wait for the return of Krrish, one of Indian cinema’s most popular superheroes, might finally be coming to an end. After years of speculation surrounding Krrish 4, Hrithik Roshan has finally made a statement that has reignited the buzz.
During a recent Instagram live session, when a fan asked Hrithik about ‘Jadoo’ (the alien character from the first film), he replied, “It’s a secret, you’ll know everything very soon, fingers crossed.” He also added that “Jadoo’s birthday is coming up,” making it clear that a major announcement related to the Krrish universe is imminent.
The franchise, which began with Koi… Mil Gaya (2003) continued with Krrish and Krrish 3, giving a new identity to the superhero genre in Bollywood. Krrish remains extremely popular, especially among children and young adults.
According to media reports, Krrish 4 is currently in the pre-production phase, and the script has been finalised. Filming is expected to begin in early or mid-2026. This film is also considered special because it will mark Hrithik Roshan’s directorial debut. This time, he will be taking over the directorial reins from his father, Rakesh Roshan. The film is being produced jointly by Yash Raj Films and Rakesh Roshan, with a potential release date in 2027.
Meanwhile, there is also intense speculation on the social media platform Reddit that Hrithik Roshan will not be a part of Don 3, as his entire focus is currently on Krrish 4. However, there has been no official confirmation on this.
While the makers have remained completely tight-lipped about the storyline, Hrithik’s recent statement makes it clear that a major update related to Krrish 4 could be coming very soon, and fans are more than ready for it.
