When it comes to taking criticism in stride and firing back with humor, no one does it quite like Salman Khan. The latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19 was a perfect reminder of that. The superstar, known for his sharp wit and unfiltered honesty, finally broke his silence on the recent controversy surrounding his film Sikandar and the claims made by filmmaker AR Murugadoss and Dabangg director Abhinav Kashyap.
What unfolded on the Bigg Boss stage was classic Salman: a mix of laughter, sarcasm, and rare moments of reflection.
The Sikandar Set Allegations: Salman’s Witty Clapback

Over the past few weeks, Sikandar, which underperformed at the box office, has been in the news for reasons beyond its numbers. AR Murugadoss, who was initially attached to the film, recently claimed that Salman’s “late arrivals on set” were among the reasons the film didn’t work as expected.
When Gupta asked the actor to name any films he regretted doing, Salman smiled and mentioned a few older titles, Soorvanshi and Nishchay. But when Gupta nudged him for something recent, Salman grinned and dropped the name Sikandar.
Then came the punchline:
But during a light-hearted chat with comedian Ravi Gupta on Weekend Ka Vaar, Salman finally addressed it head-on and in his trademark style.

“Kya hai na, main set pe raat ke 9 baje pahuchta tha, toh usme gadbad ho gayi. Meri pasaliyan tooti thi, isne jo hamare director (AR Murugadoss) sahab hain unhone ye kaha. Lekin unki picture (Madharaasi) abhi ek release hui hai jisme actor 6 baje pahuchta tha.”
The audience burst into laughter. It was Salman being Salman, addressing controversy with humor instead of anger.
He didn’t stop there. In a playful dig at the behind-the-scenes drama before Sikandar’s release, Salman added:
“Toh pahle toh ye picture thi Murugadoss aur Sajid Nadiadwala ki. Uske baad Sajid pahle kalti, Murugadoss wapas se hat gaya wahan se seedha South picture.”
And just when people thought he was done, he took one last cheeky shot at Murugadoss’ latest film:
“Madharaasi karke picture unhone direct ki hai jo release hui, bahut badi film hai aur utni hi badi… (smiles) Sikandar se badi blockbuster.”
It was a statement laced with sarcasm, but one that also showed Salman’s ability to defuse negativity with humor.
A Swipe at Abhinav Kashyap’s New Allegations

After wrapping up the Sikandar talk, Salman turned his attention to another controversy, filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap, who had made fresh allegations against him.
Without naming Kashyap directly, Salman delivered a sharp one-liner that instantly went viral:
“Ek aur hain hamare paas ek Dabangg insan. Abhi mere saath unhone Aamir ko lapete mein le liya, Shah Rukh ko bhi le liya. Maine pichhle Weekend Ka Vaar pe bola tha kaam karo. To aaj wapas se poochhna chahta hu, kaam mila kya bhai?”
The audience roared, but behind the humor, Salman’s words carried a clear message—one of disappointment and fatigue at being repeatedly targeted.
He went on to say that Kashyap’s recent remarks against Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan would only further alienate him in the industry:
“Unhone galat bola hai un dono ke against, toh na woh unke saath kaam karenge, na unke aaspaas wale.”
Despite the sharp tone, Salman also showed a rare touch of empathy.
“Achha likhta hai,” he said about Kashyap, acknowledging his talent. “Mujhe baat sirf itni buri lagti hai ki aapne apne aap ko destroy kiya. Agar kisike parivaar ke peeche padna hai to khud ke parivaar ke peeche pado yaar. Apne bhai ke peeche pado, usse pyaar karlo.”
It was one of those moments where the superstar dropped his larger-than-life persona and spoke like a concerned elder calling out bitterness and urging for self-reflection instead.
Finding Grace Amid Chaos
Salman ended his segment on a surprisingly philosophical note, something his fans have grown to expect from him over the years.
“Aur dost, mujhe ghutne pe leke aate ho na? Main roz subah ko ghutno pe aata hu. Lekin uske liye (referring to god).”
It was classic. Salman is blunt and witty but also deeply spiritual. Even when controversy follows him, he somehow finds a way to turn it into an almost poetic moment.
What’s Next for Salman Khan?

Despite the chatter around Sikandar, Salman seems unfazed. The actor is occupied with Bigg Boss 19 and already in preparation for his next big film, Battle Of Galwan, which has garnered tremendous buzz around its patriotic subject and action-based narrative.
As for the rest? Salman appears content to let his work and his sense of humor do the talking.
Because at the end of the day, whether it’s on-screen drama or off-screen controversy, Salman Khan’s message remains the same: calm, confident, and tinged with that signature smirk.
“Kaam mila kya bhai?”
