Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan seems unstoppable with the number of projects lined up on his plate. After experimenting with a wide range of roles, the actor is now gearing up for something completely different. If reports are to be believed, Kartik is in advanced talks with SherShaah director Vishnuvardhan for a zombie-themed film.
According to a report by Pinkvilla, the actor has been keen on exploring the zombie genre for some time. Vishnuvardhan, who has developed a unique concept in this space, reportedly pitched his story to Kartik, who immediately connected with the idea. Sources reveal that the project is tentatively expected to go on floors in July 2026.

A source quoted in the report shared, “Kartik Aaryan has been on the lookout to do a Zombie Film for a while now, and that’s when Vishnuvardhan came into his life. The filmmaker has developed a unique Zombie Film, and Kartik loved the world created by Vishnuvardhan. He has given his green signal to the project and is tentatively looking to take the film on floors in July 2026.”
The source further added that while the release date is still far away, the film is slotted into Kartik’s calendar. Meanwhile, the actor is also meeting other filmmakers and exploring fresh scripts. Known for his dedication, Kartik reportedly enjoys being on set as much as possible, ensuring his slate remains packed with diverse projects.
Ranveer Singh’s Zombie Film in the Works Too?
Interestingly, Kartik is not the only A-lister venturing into the zombie genre. Reports suggest that Ranveer Singh is also in talks for a similar project with filmmaker Jai Mehta under the banner Maa Kasam Films. That film, however, is said to roll only in the latter half of 2026 once Ranveer wraps up Don 3. Neither the actor nor the director has confirmed the news so far.
Kartik Aaryan’s Upcoming Projects
While discussions for the Vishnuvardhan film continue, Kartik is keeping busy with other ventures. He recently wrapped up shooting for Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, backed by Dharma Productions. The actor is also headlining Anurag Basu’s next, Nagzilla and Hansal Mehta’s Captain India, further adding to his impressive and varied lineup.
