
In true Sanjay Leela Bhansali style, cinematic grandeur is once again set to take center stage with his much-anticipated film, Love & War. The visionary filmmaker, known for his opulent storytelling and breathtaking sets, has reportedly recreated 1970s Italy right in the heart of Mumbai for the film’s first leg of shooting.
According to a source close to the project, “Sanjay Leela Bhansali recreated 1970s Italy right here in Mumbai for Love & War. Around ten days of filming were completed before Diwali, and the final 20-day schedule, featuring the film’s grand climax, is expected to take place by December 2025 in Italy. The team is eyeing an Eid 2026 release.”

This ambitious period romance starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles marks Bhansali’s return to the big screen after Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022), which earned widespread acclaim for its craftsmanship and storytelling.
