Did I tell ya that I’m going to write a weekly blog for Desi Hits as well? yeah I did, she here it is! Love that I live in a land where people who write books like Chetan Bhagat have dramatic outburst on Twitter (#chetanblocks) and dramatic actors like Amitabh Bachchan frequently launch books! In fact the Big B recently launched a biography on fellow actor Om Puri written by Om Puri’s wife Nandita Puri (to be fair there was drama there too.) Meanwhile across town a little (non-twitter birdie) spotted a very tipsy Riya Sen at Prive’s VIP lounge with four male hangers-on. At some point in the evening she actually took off her right sandal and dipped her foot into the ice bucket on the table, much to the amusement of  everyone present.  I suppose that’s one way to cool your heels :) Chak de India girl Sagarika Ghatge was also around but was much better behaved.

Last night I did a fair amount of party hoping myself and got up close and personal with Arjun Rampal who seemed quite taken aback when I asked him for a video “byte” I think he thought I wanted him to bite me. (I guess in the movie biz stranger requests have probably been made.)

And finally the Bachchan brigade – Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan all attended the premiere of James Cameron’s Avatar at IMAX this week. Abhishek Bachchan wore a velvet suit while Aishwarya Rai (for the first time) was spotted in a Manish Malhotra anarkali (perhaps because Abhishek and Aishwarya  also attended a fashion tribute to Kaifi Azmi earlier the same evening.) Shah Rukh Khan was at the movie premiere too, but dressed down in denims and a tee with a brown jacket thrown on – guessing he didn’t party hop as much.
