On a summery evening at Olive, Bandra, Lakmé unveiled it’s new Spring/Summer 2011 Fantasy Collection. As a precursor to the Lakmé Fashion Week (starting March 11), the season’s looks were revealed on Lakmé faces Shraddha Kapoor, Lisa Haydon, Vipasha Agarwal and Amrit Maghera. The collection has been put together by Lakmé make-up artists Cory Walia and Clint Fernandes infusing the spirit of Grand Finale designers Gauri & Nainika.

The best tip we heard from Clint was, ‘Don’t be scared of the products. They’ve been made for the laywoman and you don’t need to be a professional to use them!’ Some interesting looks can be created with these products from the new make-up collection. Clint Fernandes demonstrated the first one, ‘Goddess of Gold’ on Vipasha Agarwal. Shine and shimmer using the Gold dust bronzer. Incidentally, Vipasha’s favourite products, the Fairy Dust eye shadow and the Shadow Artist shimmer stick can be used to enhance the look. Second, Clint gave us a demo of the ‘Snow Queen’ on Lisa Haydon. Muted green shimmery eyes, pink lips and blushing cheeks can be achieved with the All Over Shimmer Gloss, Lisa’s favourite product. In Cory Walia’s turn, Shraddha was transformed into a ‘Wandering Butterfly’. Cory told us about the Eye Colour Quartet that has colours inspired from nature and can be easily used to highlight eyes. Lastly, Amrit Maghera embodied the ‘Sugar Plum Fairy’. Amrit loves the Fantasy Shimmer liner that was used to accentuate her eyes. Which look are you going to recreate?
