I know what you’re thinking. Don’t fret just yet. This isn’t one of those endless pieces of gossip you’ve read about Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra‘s ever changing lovers to friends and back to lovers equation!
This one’s about the lovely Ms. Preity Zinta and her ex Ness Wadia. So the IPL 4 fever, which has gripped the nation, has helped them turn over a new leaf in their friendship. Being co-owners of the Punjab team, they were compelled to have formal interactions in the last two editions of the tournament.
But, this year looks like Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia have become friendlier than ever as they were caught partying (some part of me secretly wishes they were still a couple) and hanging out with a bunch of mutual friends. If rumor mills are to be believed, the new friends looked rather comfortable in each others company. This is how it always works with ex-flames. When the relationship has just ended, one of the partners or both are in a state of bitterness and this can lead to some weird and rather ugly outbursts (think Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor) or a tattoo that becomes a symbol of betrayal (Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone).
But, some more intelligent souls decide to put an end to the bitterness and the petty arguments and become friends for life. I don’t know for sure whether this pair of former love birds have any plans to rekindle their relationship. But, we all know that in the current day and age a lot of friendships are as plastic as the people who claim to have them. So, I am wishing that the Ness-Preity ‘lets rise above our differences’ claim is not just another fabricated figment of our imagination for publicity but the beginning of a healthy trend of acting like mature adults in B town love stories.
