That’s right, I’m Detroit this week for the North American International Auto Show. Huh? Yeah! Avid television viewers will have noticed Ford India’s recent media blitz for its “All New Fiesta,” positioning the new C-segment vehicle as a sporty, high-tech and trendy car for today’s hip and happening set. In fact, Ford is so confident it’s product will appeal to our discerning audience that they’ve invited us to Detroit and into their design studios to find out for ourselves. How could we say no?

What’s a lifestyle blog doing at an auto show? That’s a good question, and one I intend to ask Ford reps on this trip. But my guess is they are eager to prove their vehicles can appeal not only to drivers into things like horsepower and dual clutch transmissions, but also slick features like advanced voice controls and multifunction LED displays. Whatever the case may be, we promise to bring you a fresh and fun perspective to the world of cars over the next couple of days and leave the serious technical reporting to the handful of auto blogs that are also here. Keep watching this blog and follow me on Twitter @nrizwanu and/or search for topic #NAIAS-MM for all my live updates and observations from Detroit!

PS: I’m super excited about Tuesday’s planned day when we go deep into Ford’s global design studio, learning about how Ford designs its cars and trying our hand at it too! If you have any questions you’d like me to ask post them in the comments below and I’ll do my best to squeeze them in!
