Hi guys, we had our say on what they wore to the Chopard Mystère party, now it’s turn to give you deets from the party. Being one of the headline sponsors of the Cannes Film Festival Chopard hosts a gala every year during the festival, which, many say is the mother of all Cannes bashes! This year, the Swiss luxury house shrouded the event in mystery, naming it the Mystère masked ball; the dress code on the invitation ‒ surprise, surprise! ‒ read “Masques et Diamants” (Masks and Diamonds). A treasure hunt and a ‘tuk-tuk’ ride later, the guests were finally able to set foot on
Villa Domergue
the secret venue perched high above Cannes.
Once inside,
lucky sods
guests were entertained by an exclusive mystery-themed show by Cirque du Soleil, a Chopard Haute Joaillerie show, a special set by jazz artists Michael Arenella & his Dreamland Orchestra and the Gypsy Queens. If the guests were bored still after all that, they could kill time by getting more dolled up by L’Oréal Paris make-up artists who were on stand-by, have silly photos taken or get a clairvoyant read out their tarot cards. And what is a party without a DJ? Yep, a DJ set took the stage during the late-night/early-morning hours.
Now let’s talk about the food
that was wasted
served to the guests. Käfer, a reputed German caterer and a close friend of the Scheufele family, prepared the supper of filet of ox from Nebraska served as a rose on morels, Käfer’s allegedly famous penne al tartufo (truffle pasta) and fresh ginger Malossol salmon. To wash it down, Boizel Champagne, Monestier Latour wines and cocktails especially created by Grey Goose were on hand.
Wishing you were there?
