What’s Up Between Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif?

They may be making waves with their upcoming film Ek Tha Tiger, but things have apparently not been good behind-the-scenes for quite sometime. It seems that Salman Khan may have been taking too many digs at Katrina Kaif over the years, but we gotta ask… why?!

Mid Day made an interesting point today by bringing up several instances where Salman has been less than nice to Katrina. For one, he had passed the comment “Aaj kal kiske saath hai?” to Katrina at an awards function (in full view) when she had recently (allegedly) broken up with Ranbir Kapoor. Then, on Bigg Boss, there was an incident where he called her “bhayankar” (dangerous, awful) and pestered her with controversial questions until she allegedly burst into tears while backstage. And apparently, on sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati in 2007, Salman told Shah Rukh Khan that he could say whatever he wanted about Katrina – since she didn’t understand Hindi!

This guy is totally hot and cold – you’ve got some people talking about how he’s such a sweet guy (only recently Vaibhavi Merchant said he’s “all heart”) and then you’ve got instances like these where you just gotta wonder how anyone puts up with him! What do you think – what’s the deal with this behaviour?

She is culturally very different from all his other ex-flames and he doesn’t quite know how to handle her. She probably is not obsequious as the others hence he tends to hit back at her rudely.

For years, I have wondered why people in the industry put up with this brat. His family, his co-stars, his producers, his directors, girlfriends – all put up with his crazy behavior..is it just because at times, in his sane mode, he has big heart? is it worth it?

I THINK ITS THE FIRST TIME, SOMEONE HAS MADE A VALID POINT. HE SEEMS TO BE ECCENTRIC MORE THAN BIG HEARTED. MOST OF THE TIME HE HAS A ‘DONT MESS WID ME’ ATTITUDE WRITTEN ALL OVER HIS FACE N ATTITUDE. OBVIOUSLY HE CANNOT CARRY ON WID DIS I CARE A DAMN ATTITUDE FOR LONG, SO IN BETWEEN HE COMES UP WITH I’M HUMANE’ KINDA ACT. HE’S 40 PLUS STILL HASNT GOT A GIRL TO SETTLE DOWN. Passing such comments that too in public is seriously not something that one would expect from ANY celebrity. I feel that Salman dives into the relationship with all his heart and when it doesn’t work out (for whatever reason), he gets very angry and critical about the situation. This is what leads him to make such comments (I think). Heartbreaks are nasty but he shouldn’t be saying such things regardless!

These comments by Salman do sound awful when taken out of context. On the KBC episode, he did make that comment but so light-heartedly,so much in jest. The whole episode was delightful to watch because of the endearing banter between all three stars. On Big Boss he said bhyankar meaning ” you are looking stunning”…she was wearing a red outfit and did look gorgeous. It was meant as a compliment. Even the Aaj kal kiske saath ho comment was said in jest as she was walking away after telling him of her win. I think its important not to just crucify someone.
Having said that Salman does need to temper some of his comments to her.I think they probably sound funny in his mind but when spoken out loud have a somewhat rude connotation. Agree that he did pester her on Big Boss with ome embarassing qs
