At the launch of The Big Indian Picture, a new online magazine, Amitabh Bachchan spoke about Indian cinema and how much it represents us as a country. According to him, people abroad will probably not know our politicians or our leaders, but chances are, they know some actors. He also spoke about the kind of content our cinema has always had, and how people tend to view it with cynicism – but at the end of the day, it comes down to entertainment that the common man needs.
