For the past few weeks, there have been rumours doing the rounds that Shah Rukh Khan had been gunning majorly for Priyanka Chopra to be the female lead in his upcoming Farah Khan film, Happy New Year - and now our spy tells us that PeeCee has indeed been confirmed for the film!

Also confirmed for the film are Siddharth Malhotra (think Karan Johar had something to do with this?) and Abhishek Bachchan, which we had told you back in May. Word has it that SRK did indeed have a part to play in PC being cast for the film; although a few other leading ladies’ names were doing the rounds, SRK thought that PC should be cast – and his recommendation gave her the edge.
