Victoria Beckham has come a long way. From a member of the Spice Girls, to being David Beckham‘s WAG and then forging and establishing herself as a fashion force to reckon with. Today, she turns 39 and I’ve decided to round up the top 5 fashion rules we’ve learned from her to celebrate!
1) Wear Oversized Shades.
Shades have been around forever, but only Ms V knows the power of oversized designer shades. Whether it’s to shield away those pesky paps or to hide dark circles – or in Victoria’s case, to keep that sense of mystery around her – countless celebs have emulated her.
2) Airport Dressing is Power Dressing.
Try catching her in sweats. Departing from the airport is another fash-parade. To look always polished after long haul flights, carry a change of clothes. A trench coat or blazer are great transition pieces to battle the fluctuating temperatures.
3) Fit is Everything
If you notice the constructions of her designs – fit is everything. The fit of an outfit is extremely important as it can make you look taller/slimmer/sharper. When picking up clothes, ensure that you get them altered.
4) Sport a Gold Statement Watch
She makes a statement with her gold Rolex, but you can easily emulate this by by picking one from a high-street brand. Not only does it look incredibly polished but makes for a great jewellery piece.
5) Big is Better
She may be have over 1000 Birkins (and her own personal bag line) but VB’s latest mantra is carrying oversized bags by tucking them under her arm. Guess bigger is indeed better.
