It’s been a while since Rockstar, but Nargis Fakhri will once again be seen at a cinema near you for Madras Cafe. She plays the role of a war journalist – which is quite the departure from her first character – and word has it that she’s been very dedicated to her work. So much so that she decided she’d be doing her stunts herself!
Says a source on sets:
“Madras Cafe will introduce audiences to Nargis Fakhri, the actress. The film completely showcases her acting prowess; there are several intense high drama scenes that she’s performed to flawlessly. Apart from that, she insisted on doing her stunts herself which had everyone impressed, especially since this is her second film in Bollywood.”
We’re told that for certain underwater action sequences, director Shoojit Sircar recommended that she use a body double. However, much to everyone’s surprise, Nargis insisted that she would do the routine herself. We’re told that the unit was very impressed with her, considering that she went ahead and gave several retakes, despite being ill.
