Shilpa Reddy had previously astounded us with her line of beautiful saris. Now the Hyderabad based designer is making her first debut at Lakme Fashion Week, and we have the first look at her new line!
The collection, entitled Suriyothai, has a unique inspiration. This collection showcases the two aspects of the sacred feminine: nurturer, and protector. Suriyothai was a 16th century warrior/mother/Queen, who ruled over Siam (present day Thailand). She took to arms and reigned devastation on a marauding army that threatened her family, people, and country.
