This one is going to be a weekend of comedies for Bollywood as two youth-centric movies, Dilliwalli Zaalim Girlfriend and Hunterrr arrive together. Let’s talk about Dilliwalli Zaalim Girlfriend first. The film has garnered good visibility due to the songs that have fetched attention during the last few weeks. Moreover, it has Divyendu Singh and Pradhuman Singh promising good humor, something that they have shown in their previous collaborations like Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Chashme Baddoor and Tere Bin Laden. Since the film promises to represent the quirky side of Delhi, the expectations are rather high from this one!
On the other hand, Hunterrr‘s admittedly adult premises makes the movie seem rather interesting. Gulshan Devaiah, who has shown good range in films like Shaitaan, Ram Leela and Hate Story, leads the cast with Radhika Apte (Badlapur) bringing on the spunk. Since Anurag Kashyap‘s name is attached to the film, one expects a fun and unique offering.
Both films are word of mouth affairs and will basically show growth from Saturday onwards, based on the feedback they get. Both movies have a clear week ahead since only NH10 and Dum Laga Ke Haisha are the other films on contention and there is enough screen space to accommodate a couple of more mid-budget affairs. Since there is no notable release next week, Dilliwalli Zaalim Girlfriend as well as Hunterrr have an opportunity to grow if audience give them a thumbs up.
