Since Ranbir Kapoor has a certain audience that roots for him, Bombay Velvet is a new experience for all involved. However, this doesn’t translate into the fact that the end product won’t end up impressing audience in the final run.
One needs to see a film in its right perspective and to that extent, Bombay Velvet has ‘being different’ written all over in. Bombay Velvet is bound to take a good opening due to credentials involved, and if it works (or doesn’t), it would be due to the content and not the pre-release talks around it.
