Little did we know that while making Student Of The Year, Karan Johar did some extensive research. In a recent interview, Karan revealed that he would have long chats with none other than Aryan Khan! Here’s what he said about his effort while making Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt‘s launch pad:
So that whole year, all I did was observe young people wherever I went. I found myself having long conversations with Shah Rukh’s son Aryan for example. I didn’t want to make a wannabe film. I wanted to make a film that a 10-year-old would consider cool.
Say whatever you want, but SOTY was quite a cool film, wasn’t it? When probed further on Aryan’s reaction to the final outcome, Karan responded:
Oh he’s too cool to watch the film, so I don’t think he has. I think he’s gonna be a huge movie star one day, but he’s not interested in watching many movies right now.
Aryan isn’t a regular kid, he’s a cool kid!
