Priyanka Chopra‘s Quantico has been fairly well-received, with a lot of people praising her performance in the show and applauding her for taking this big move into international television. And now, there is another Bollywood actress who you may just see as part of a weekly show on a major American television network.
We’re talking about Shenaz Treasury, who has already been a part of American TV in the form of the One Life To Live 2013 reboot (which was a web-series) and The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore (on which she is a contributor). Now, she’s been cast in the lead female role of an untitled comedy pilot, based on the concept of “men are from Venus, women are from Mars.” This is a show about two men (played by Adam Shapiro and Jack Carpenter) who are sensitive while their women counterparts become more assertive. Shenaz will be playing the character of Hillary, who is Shapiro’s wife.
TBS has only just greenlighted this pilot, so we have to wait to see whether they pick it up for a full season. We’ll be keeping our ears out for more info!
