While promoting her upcoming movie Sarabjit at a college in Mumbai, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan seemed surprisingly candid about her sometimes terrible movie choices (remember Albela?). A cool quiz was held at the venue where one of the questions was the title of the first movie Aishwarya did with her husband Abhishek Bachchan. A student answered Dhai Akshar Prem Ke, and as per a report on News 18, Aishwarya couldn’t stop herself from making fun of the film –
Oh my god, that film was a riot. Abhishek and I have hammed throughout that movie. We keep saying what are we doing here? Some of the scenes were so way out. Today, well forget today, down the years also whenever we saw the movie we used to be like, really?
While the audience laughed, Ash continued –
I mean my character’s brief – now you can watch it as a comedy if you do – but my brief was that act out the thought which first occurs to you and then you say the line. So, I’ve got to do (makes a twitch) ‘mat jaayiye’. I am like, ‘Whats with the twitch’? Abhishek and I till date joke about it. There is this another bit before some storm breaks out in the jeep and he says, ‘Ye Khudrat ka kya..something something’..and our eyebrows and eyes are like…(raises her eyebrows) we are like what are we doing, it is so way out there.
