Jagga Jasoos feels like it’s been in the works forever. They began shooting in early 2014, and since then there have been numerous reports of delays. The film was first supposed to release in 2015, but got pushed to mid-2016, and then delayed again indefinitely. Now – finally – Disney-UTV has announced the release date of this Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer.
In a statement, they said:
Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Directed by Anurag Basu with Music by Pritam, Disney’s Jagga Jasoos will release on 7th April, 2017.
They’re calling Jagga Jasoos the “Disney summer spectacle for 2017” as it releases one year after the hugely successful The Jungle Book. We’ve really got our fingers crossed for this one – it is the team of Barfi! reuniting, after all.
