Yesterday, we gave you a sneak-peek of the sketches from the Dior Haute Couture line for Spring/ Summer 2012. Today, they uploaded the video of the show and I watched all twenty-two minutes of it, holding my breath.
Even though John Galliano is not at the helm anymore, this collection gets a thumbs-up for its unabashed romance and vintage appeal.
A lot of the collection is based on Christian Dior’s New Look, which he launched post World War II in 1947; clinched waistlines and full skirts defined that collection and you’ll see a lot of that here too.
For once, the theatrical appeal that was synonymous with Galliano, did not overshadow the clothes, and instead, each outfit stood out by itself in all its couture glory!
