Aaaarrrgghh, just when I was praising Anil Kapoor for his style quotient, he comes and does this! Yeah, his ensemble at the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award on Fri night kinda disappointed me. Yet again, his outfit had various shades of grey, but this time, it had one too many pattern going around.
Since the Prince of Wales check on his tweed jacket was quite prominent, he simply needed a solid tie. The button-down shirt, while a great smart casual item, is not conducive to the formal look he’s going for here. And that pocket square… quite possibly the ugliest I’ve seen. Still, I’ve got to give it to him for getting the fit of the suit just right, and for making the effort. Rather this than turning up at a formal event in jeans and trainers, like many Bollywood menfolk tend to – anyday!
