Now this was pretty much a given that after the release of PK, theaters would be practically screening the Aamir Khan-starrer for three weeks in succession. While Tevar is a couple of days away (the Arjun KapoorSonakshi Sinha flick releases on 9th January), it is the Rajkumar Hirani film that will continue to make moolah for yet another week. Competition wise, PK has already surpassed Dhoom: 3.

For the trivia friendly, the first two releases of 2015 – Mumbai Can Dance Saala and Take It Easy – added to the myth that it is a bad omen to release new films on the first Friday of the year. Now, this thought couldn’t have been more ill-placed because if only the industry actually saw the release of a movie with credibility and reputation along with commercial appeal and wholesome content, there wouldn’t have been any reason for it to not work.
