Bombay Velvet, unfortunately, did not live up to people’s expectations at the box office. Even the people related to the film were hugely impacted by the way it all turned out. Recently, Anurag Kashyap updated his status on Facebook talking about the movie’s criticism and then came the twitter fight between Rishi Kapoor and the two men who had abused Ranbir Kapoor. It has been a controversial journey.
In an interview with NDTV, Ranbir finally spoke about his career. He said,
There is a sense of insecurity that is starting to trend inside me. I’m feeling a sense of friction inside. I really don’t know what’s happening with my career. I know what’s happening with my work, but I don’t know what’s going to happen with my career. So, I’m feeling that sense of… a sense of insecurity inside. In this industry, an actor is remembered by his last film. My last film was Besharam and Roy which also didn’t do well.
Ranbir is one actor who rarely speaks, but when he does, it is with honesty and sincerity. But this doesn’t mean things are going down hill for the talented actor. He still has four big movies in his hands – Tamasha with Deepika Padukone; Jagga Jasoos with Katrina Kaif; Ae Dil Hai Mushkil with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma; and Sanjay Dutt‘s biopic directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
What do you guys think about this?
