Varun Dhawan Gets Trolled On Twitter For Saying He Voted Last Year

In today’s digital world, actors have to be super careful what they say because for every wrong thing they say, there are a thousand trolls out there waiting to get you. Yup, it’s a sad, sad world we live in! Anyway, Varun Dhawan, who went to the polling booth to cast his vote yesterday was sent back as his name was not registered and they couldn’t find it despite him making phone calls to higher authorities.

When Aaj Tak asked him how he felt, here’s what he said:

My name has not shown up in the list. It’s bizarre because I voted last year. Will find out from EC about this.

Everyone was quick to notice that what he’d said. There were no elections last year and the BMC elections were last held in 2014.

Varun, being the sport he is, actually replied to this tweet (according to Pinkvilla) saying “Hahah I don’t it was a slip of the tongue I meant the lok sabha elections for which I voted in 2014”, but soon deleted it after. What him do that? We don’t know. But we’re just happy he was a sport about it!
