Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna are one of the most loved couples in Bollywood, without a doubt. Married for more than a decade, the two constantly give us mere mortals relationship goals. Twinkle is known for her razor sharp sense of humour, that’s why it doesn’t sound surprising when Akshay says that Twinke often taunts him.
But recently, she stopped doing that, and the reason is rather interesting. As per an article on PTI, the actor revealed what made Mrs. Funnybones stop making fun of him, at an education festival in Jaipur –
My wife used to taunt me that all her family members have got several awards but not me. The taunting stopped when I got the National award.
Akshay won the National Award for his work in the 2016 film Rustom. His win was derided on social media as many believed that the actor didn’t deserve the award for the movie. Reacting to the criticism, Akshay had said that he has been listening to this since 25 years. He also asked people to take it away if they think he isn’t worthy.
On a lighter note, Akshay read out a speech written by Twinkle when he won the Most Beautiful Man of the Decade at the Vogue Beauty Awards and it was hilarious!
