The on-going battle between Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan is only getting murkier by the day. Ahead of the release of her last film Simran, Kangana came forth and gave one explosive interview after the other, where she alleged that she was threatened and asked to apologize to Hrithik. She also let us in on details of private conversations between the two, shocking everyone present. While Hrithik and his family refrained from saying anything then, they have now come forward and filed new documents against Kangana. Rakesh Roshan also gave a statement saying,
We are not loose talkers. We don’t believe in making wild unsubstantiated accusations. We have submitted our complaint with all the proof. If you want a copy of the complaint, please request it from our lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani’s office, as it is now in the public domain. If you read the complaint, you will be shocked by the facts. We gave our side of the truth to the cybercrime branch on April 8, 2017. We submitted all the authentic, relevant documents with all the emails and electronic gadgets. It’s now up to the authorities to decide who’s telling the truth. We’ve always believed in the power of the truth. I was taught to be honest by my father and I’ve taught Hrithik the same. In this matter, the truth will be out soon.
As part of those details submitted by the Roshans, Republic TV got access to this email from Kangana to Hrithik about Deepika Padukone. For the uninitiated, there was a time when all wasn’t well between DP and Kangana. Deepika, who won the best actress award for Happy New Year, dedicated her award to Ranaut for her brilliant performance in Queen, but Kangana thought it was weird that she did this on a public platform and didn’t call her to have a chat personally. She even spoke about it at a press conference back in the day.
Deepika called me, and clarified that she had no personal equation with me to make a direct call. Also, I explained to her how it would have been unjust for me to publicly acknowledge an award from her when I have decided not to attend any awards functions. It was an emotional and heartfelt conversation. I appreciate that she called me; she is truly courteous and very emotional, and I just love that.
According to the reports on Republic, her email to Hrithik reads,
Also though i know deepika won’t call, because that’s has been happening for past 4 days now but the fact that she said and she didn’t, starts to play on my mind and makes me depressed. Even though i know its because of my disorder that iget so serious about trivial matters but i am still feeling bad that she’s saying meaningless things. I really hope she does that or i will always feel bad about her behavior.
These emails are part of the annexures filed by Roshan’s lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani to the Mumbai Police.
