Bigg Boss 11 has its fair share of dramatic and sometimes very annoying moments, but this season, we must say, that the contestants (and the host) have shown a very sex positive side to the Indian audience. Our country does not provide basic sex education in schools and the topic is still a taboo amongst families. But at least celebrities are not shying away from discussing it. In the latest episode, the dancer from Haryana, Sapna Choudhary learnt what condoms mean by Shilpa Shinde and Hina Khan.
The naive Sapna was advised by Shilpa and Hina about the world at large, but she surprised them both by saying that she doesn’t know what condoms mean. Hina who initiated the conversation told Sapna that condoms are important in a relationship for safe sex.
Sapna then asked the other two how to wear one, which rendered Hina speechless. Shilpa then questioned her if she has friends with whom she can discuss all of this with, but it was clear from Sapna’s conversation that she comes from an extremely protective family. While Hina explained the working of a condom to Sapna, she also told her not to use the word so freely around the house, they are on prime time television after all.
Earlier in the show, Salman Khan had schooled another contestant on the different kinds of human sexuality and preferences and patiently explained terms like ‘homosexual’ and ‘bisexual’ to her. Good job!
